First Ever Wish Recipient Thanks Bucket Wish FoundationFirst Ever Wish Recipient Thanks Bucket Wish Foundation

It's been almost seven years since the Bucket Wish Foundation granted its first wish.  On October 12, 2004, Joan Hagerty got the present she had always asked for but was never allowed to receive: a tattoo.  "A Tattoo was always a taboo thing for a lady to get as I was growing up," Hagerty told us.  "I feel like by getting a tattoo, I not only realized a dream of my own, but I was able to help women across the country to break down gender barriers!"

The Bucket Wish Foundation has kept in touch with its first recipient, and Joan Hagerty is always willing to promote the cause.  In fact, Hagerty has referred 37 seniors who have truly needed a wish granted.  Even more astounding, she has rallied her community in support of the Bucket Wish Foundation and raised over $30,000 to help other seniors realize their dreams.

Joan Hagerty will be honored this fall on the seventh anniversary of her wish being granted at a special dinner for all of her friends and family.  To learn more about Joan Hagerty's work for the Bucket Wish Foundation, make sure you check out our website!
